Boost Excel with VBA
Microsoft Excel is a very handy utility – arguably (certainly in my biased opinion, it is!) the best product ever to emerge from Microsoft! However, by itself it is often cumbersome and unwieldy, especially when it comes to large datasets, complicated formulae, repetitive calculations, and automation. Fortunately Excel comes bundled with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), a programming language that is capable of making Excel several orders of magnitude more powerful, thereby saving users an enormous amount of time and tedium. At the advanced end of its capabilities, VBA can virtually transform your Excel spreadsheet into something almost resembling a software package.
In this course, you will learn enough to set you on course for accomplishing that and much more. Starting from the basic concept of “code generation by recording macros”, we will advance by the end of the X[1]th hour to advanced programming tasks including the automated generation of planar graphics and chart manipulation. In addition the course will also offer several useful tips and tricks when it comes to using Excel, outside of the realm of VBA. A giveaway of the course will be a spreadsheet with a VBA code package consisting of a large number of routines and functions that will make life a lot easier for anyone whose job involves a significant amount of data manipulation using Excel.
